Plant Manager -- Newly acquired Carbonless Paper Manufacturing Facility
* Managed the orderly transition from Standard Register Company to the Mead Corporation.
* Directed the six million dollar expansion of the plant (expanded warehouse, finishing equipment, and microencapsulation plant).
* Increased the work force 100%

The STANDARD REGISTER COMPANY, Indianapolis, IN 1986-1987

Plant Manager -- New Carbonless Paper Manufacturing Facility of Standard Register to produce their own brand of Carbonless Paper for internal conversion to business forms.

* Directed the construction of the physical plant; selection, purchasing, and installation of equipment; and the start-up and operation of the new 70,00 square foot, 14 million dollar greenfield operation.
* Hired the professional management staff and oversaw the selection, hiring, and training of the hourly staff.
* Established wage scales and prepared employee policies and procedures for a union-free plant.
* Start-up was on schedule and within budget, and recognized as a leader in productivity for a paper conversion operation.

* Consultant to carbonless paper manufacturing operations.
* Consultant to environmental group:
- Directed the conversion of a solvent flexographic printing operation to a water based system to bring the operation into compliance with Environmental-VOC requirements while generating 250 thousand dollars in annual savings.
-PCB/Asbestos/Underground tank monitoring.
-Worked with ODNR on strip mine reclamation projects using papermill waste as a soil amendment.

* Have been involved with carbonless paper manufacturing since 1956, constantly taking on new responsibility and progressing to Manager. During this time the annual sales increased from 5 thousand tpy to 150 thousand tpy, a 30-fold increase.
* Participated in six major expansion projects totaling more than 60 million dollars which were undertaken to modernize and expand our production capabilities for carbonless copying papers.
* Directly involved in management activities including meetings with sales, marketing, research, engineering and construction personnel, while continuing to supervise daily operations.
* Maintained production and quality in a growing new operation, while losing 60% of our personnel due to a major mill downsizing (mill seniority)!
* Have been a major participant in the development of Carbonless Paper.
* Have also participated in the development and pilot manufacture of Coated Board, ESO papers, metalized papers and release coated board.
* Operations have included solvent based coatings
